BREAKING NEWS: Dr. Sirajul Haq Talukder, Deputy Chief of Planning Commission and Deputy Project Director of Support to ICT Task Force Programme, Ministry of Planning passed away on mid Wednesday night (Approx. 12:30 AM) 25 August 2010 (Innanillah-e-wainna elaihe raziwun). Mr. Talukder left behind his wife, two daughters, many relatives and a host of well wishers to mourn his death. Everybody pray to Allah for his soul.

Project Name Interactive website for Bangladesh Karmachari Kallyan Board
Objectives
Under the SICT Program, the following tasks will be undertaken:
-          Developing customized application software for the following:
o       monthly welfare aid
o       health-related assistance
o       education-related assistance
o       burial-related assistance
o       assistance for complex health problems
o       insurance-related assistance
-          Developing interactive website of the Board containing information related to its activities, services, application procedures, downloadable forms etc.
-          Providing necessary hardware and peripherals
-          Developing LAN
-          Providing adequate training to personnel at the Board
Citizen Benefits
The benefits that citizens will get after successful completion of this project are listed below:
-          Government servants will benefit from increased efficiency of the Board
-          Citizens/ government servants can get access to information about activities of the Board, about different application procedures and download forms online

-          Efficient handling of relevant information about government officers
-          Efficient data-entry and report generation
